Tim began his career at the Berkshire college of Art and Design, where he completed a one year foundation course, going on to study fine art painting at the University of Central Lancashire, gaining a BA (Hons) degree in 1993. 
After university Tim continued to paint,exhibiting his work widely and working in a school teaching photography. Tim then worked full time at the Sculpture workshop, Oxfordshire where he specialised in finishing, moulding and casting cold cast bronze, producing work for many well known artists, including Anish Kapoor, Antony Gormley and Sophie Ryder.
Tim has spent the last ten years working as a freelance artist at Sculpture Lounge Studios, Holmfirth. Where he has gained an expert knowledge of sculpting in ceramics, which he also teaches. Tim is often found works alongside, and collaborates with, fellow artists. 
Four years ago, Tim returned to painting, exhibiting his new work at a variety of art shows and galleries .
